Here is a history of band and projects Alex is (or was) a members of

The Bad Ragas

The Bad Ragas- alive and still rocking; thanks to our guitar player we now have our own domain name and website, including audio files, image galleries and guestbook. A MUST visit! :-) An earlier sign of our existance on the Internet is a page designed by our previous singer who returned to Manchester, UK to complete his studies... Hello James, how are you?

Alyss in Trance

Alyss in Trance is the name of my Solo project to display some of my trance and psychedelic trance oriented synthesizer compositions plus my latest guitar recordings to a wider audience on the Internet. My influences range from Nu Rock bands like Seether, Foo Fighters, Creed to classic 70ties Rock bands like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin to Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, U2. Simple Minds, just to name a few.A temporary hosting solution was found on www.schaumgarten.com. This website belongs to my wife and presents her handcrafted soaps. Please, also check my page on www.myspace.com/alex_schubert

Previous bands (dissolved and lost in the mysts of time)

Traci and the Lords

Traci and the Lords was a follow a follow-up of the Old Chatterband; it got quite popular in the local chatter and computer science students scene at the ETH (Federal Institure of Technology Zurich) and the University of Zurich - my alma mater. The last concert at StuZ Zurich is dating back to 1995.

The Old Chatterband

The Old Chatterband was exclusively formed to entertain the audience at a chatter party in Zurich. The feedback we got was great and it motivated some of the band members to continue and we formed what finally would become Traci and the Lords.

Early projects

Move a Mountain

Move a Mountain - a band formed by the singer of the Mirrors and myself; the band dissolved in the early nineties without any public appearance (as far as I remember).

The Mirrors

The Mirrors - was the name of my first band project founded in the very late eighties; the highlight was our first concert at a New Year's eve party in 89. My friend Tommy on vocals, Jost on bass, Dr Rhythm on Drums and myself on guitar. We played a cross over from bands like U2, The Doors, The Alarm, Pink Floyd and other late 80ties bands...

Various smaller projects

Smaller projects without name and many great jam sessions, unforgettable moments with friends who shared their passion with me. Moments I'll never forget.
